Welcome to **Shughart Adventure Co.** By requesting travel planning services, paying a planning fee or travel deposit, accepting a proposal, signing a travel agreement, or booking travel through Shughart Adventure Co., you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Shughart Adventure Co. is an independent travel advisory business dedicated to helping clients create meaningful travel experiences through personalized planning and professional guidance.

As your Travel Advisor, I act solely as an intermediary between you and travel suppliers, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, vacation package providers, transportation companies, insurance providers, and activity vendors.

I do not own, operate, or control these suppliers and therefore cannot guarantee their performance or assume responsibility for their actions.

# Professional Travel Planning Fee

Shughart Adventure Co. charges a **$50 non-refundable Professional Travel Planning Fee** for personalized travel planning services.

This fee includes services such as:

* Destination research

* Vacation consultation

* Supplier comparisons

* Customized itinerary creation

* Quote preparation

* Booking coordination

* Travel guidance before departure

Once travel is booked through Shughart Adventure Co., the $50 planning fee will be applied toward your travel reservation.

If you decide not to book, cancel before booking, or book elsewhere, the planning fee remains non-refundable as payment for the professional time and expertise invested in planning your vacation.

# Pricing & Availability

Travel pricing is dynamic and may change until a reservation has been confirmed with payment.

Quotes are based upon availability at the time they are provided and cannot be guaranteed until booked.

Promotions, supplier discounts, airfare, taxes, fuel surcharges, exchange rates, and government fees may change without notice.

# Deposits & Final Payments

Most travel suppliers require deposits to secure reservations.

Final payment dates are established by each supplier and must be received by the stated deadline.

Failure to make payments by the required deadline may result in:

* Cancellation of reservations

* Loss of deposits

* Supplier penalties

* Additional reinstatement fees, if permitted

Shughart Adventure Co. is not responsible for reservations canceled due to missed payment deadlines.

# Cancellations

All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.

Cancellation penalties are determined by the travel supplier and may include:

* Loss of deposits

* Partial refunds

* Complete forfeiture of payments

The Professional Travel Planning Fee is always non-refundable.

Supplier cancellation policies apply regardless of the reason for cancellation.

# Changes to Reservations

Changes after booking may result in:

* Supplier change fees

* Airline penalties

* Increased travel costs

* Loss of promotional pricing

* Additional service fees, if applicable

Not all reservations can be modified after confirmation.

# Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is **strongly recommended** for every traveler.

Unexpected events such as illness, injury, severe weather, family emergencies, supplier bankruptcy, missed connections, baggage delays, or other unforeseen circumstances may result in significant financial loss.

Clients are responsible for deciding whether to purchase travel insurance.

If you decline coverage, you acknowledge that you assume full responsibility for any financial losses that may occur.

As I often remind my clients: ask yourself, *"If something happens, can I afford to lose my travel investment, or can I afford to lose the insurance premium?"*

Coverage varies by policy, and clients are responsible for understanding the benefits, exclusions, and limitations of any insurance purchased.

# Passports, Visas & Travel Documents

Travelers are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining:

* Valid passports

* Required visas

* Entry permits

* Vaccination records

* Health documentation

* REAL ID compliance (when applicable)

* Any other required travel documentation

It is the traveler's responsibility to verify that names on all reservations exactly match government-issued identification.

Shughart Adventure Co. is not responsible for expenses resulting from inaccurate traveler information or missing documentation.

# Health & Safety

Travelers assume responsibility for:

* Their personal health and fitness to travel

* Compliance with destination laws

* Airline requirements

* Cruise requirements

* Entry regulations

* Vaccination or testing requirements when applicable

Government travel requirements may change without notice.

# Supplier Responsibility

All transportation, accommodations, tours, cruises, excursions, rental vehicles, and other travel services are provided by independent suppliers.

Shughart Adventure Co. is not responsible for:

* Supplier bankruptcy

* Schedule changes

* Flight delays

* Missed connections

* Mechanical failures

* Lost or delayed baggage

* Hotel conditions

* Cruise itinerary changes

* Service interruptions

* Acts or omissions of suppliers

Any concerns regarding services provided should first be addressed directly with the supplier while traveling.

# Force Majeure

Shughart Adventure Co. shall not be liable for any loss, delay, injury, cancellation, additional expense, or inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

* Severe weather

* Hurricanes

* Flooding

* Wildfires

* Pandemics

* Government actions

* Civil unrest

* Terrorism

* Labor strikes

* Supplier insolvency

* Mechanical failures

* Natural disasters

* Acts of God

Refunds during these events are subject solely to supplier policies and applicable travel insurance coverage.

# Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

* Review all travel documents promptly.

* Verify names, dates, and destinations before booking.

* Report any errors immediately.

* Arrive at airports, ports, and scheduled activities on time.

* Read all supplier documentation.

* Follow all travel requirements and local laws.

Failure to review travel documents does not relieve the traveler of responsibility for errors.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shughart Adventure Co. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from travel arrangements or services provided by third-party suppliers.

My responsibility is limited to providing professional travel planning and booking services.

By submitting payment, approving an itinerary, signing a proposal, checking an online acceptance box, or otherwise authorizing Shughart Adventure Co. to make travel arrangements on your behalf, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Electronic acceptance carries the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from services provided by Shughart Adventure Co. shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located within the State of Minnesota.
